10 children from the Hilton Early Intervention Centre and Hilton Special School now have appropriately fitted wheelchairs.

This was made possible through a week long clinics conducted by Motivation Australia and the Spinal Injuries Association of Fiji.

Hilton Physiotherapist Shalini Devi who has completed her intermediate level training last year and community rehabilitation assistant Sazmin Nisha assisted with the clinics.

Ms Devi said: “The clinics is a very good opportunity for our children at both the schools because it will benefit their physique and posture in the long term.

“These wheelchairs can also be used in a class room as they have been appropriately fitted to accommodate the child’s specific physical needs.”

The clinics were held from March 7 to March 11 at the Hilton Physiotherapy Unit on Brown Street.
